Sandra is a evolutionary ecologist interested in understanding how plants interact with their environment, both belowground and aboveground. Specifically, she investigates the relationships between plants, mycorrhizal fungi, pollinators and herbivores in sexually dimorphic plants (more info).
Paul is interested in understanding animal behaviour from both functional and causal perspectives. He works extensively on the evolution of primary reproductive traits (sperm and genitalia) and their role in reproductive isolation. Being interested in all aspects of animal behaviour and evolution, he has worked with fish, birds, mammals and insects (more info).
Timea investigates different aspects of DNA replication and DNA repair (more info).
Iain is a computational ecologist. He writes computer programs that use statistics and maths to forecast what ecological systems do in the future. He has worked primarily on population ecology and life history theory, but also invasive species; urban macroecology (trees, soils and allotments); and community ecology, among others (more info).

Jon is part of the technical staff and has a PhD on plant physiology. His work focused on improving crop water use efficiency in order to improve crop yields in arid environments and mitigate potential issues arising from reduced water availability due to climate change (more info).
